Ashley Dowson is Chairman of The SEPA Consultancy and occupied senior positions in Barclays Bank PLC over a 32 year period, latterly Chief Operating Officer & Managing Director, Barclays Group Treasury. He was also Director of Liquidity Management and Head of Systemic Risk Management for the Barclays Group.
Ashley was a Board Member of the Euro Banking Association (EBA) the introduction of the Euro and was highly instrumental in the creation of the EBA's EURO1 clearing system. He used his experience in risk management to co-found the International Foreign Exchange Master Agreement (IFEMA) with the British Bankers Association and created the International Deposit Netting Agreement (IDNA).
Other positions have included Treasurer of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and Chairman of the Trustees of the ifs School of Finance Pension Fund. |
